Admissions

Admissions to the Master's program in Communication Arts with a specialization in Corporate Communication is only on a College of Graduate Studies regular admission basis, and all admission requirements must be satisfied before a student can receive advisement and enroll in any graduate Communication classes. All students wishing the pursue an M. A. in Corporate Communication must apply to the College of Graduate Studies either online or by mail to: Austin Peay State University, Graduate Admissions, P. O. Box 4548, Clarksville, TN 37044. A non-refundable, one-time application fee of $25.00 is required for all new applicants. The following are the admission requirements for this program.

  • official undergraduate transcripts from all colleges and universities attended must be issued directly to APSU, showing: a bachelor's degree has been earned and the cumulative grade point average (GPA) attained. A minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA for all college coursework attempted is required for admission.
  • official graduate transcripts from all colleges and universities attended for graduate study coursework completed.
  • official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) [only for the verbal and quantitative tests] must be received directly from GRE to APSU. The APSU code for GRE is 1028.
  • Three letters of recommendation from former college/university professors OR from individuals who have served as the applicant's communication industry supervisors. These letters must verify in the writer's opinion that the applicant is prepared to successfully undertake graduate study in the area of corporate communication.
