Proseminar in Communication
During your first semester in the corporate communication program, you will be required to participate in a an all online student orientation and workshop – COMM 5001 Proseminar in Communication. You will be awarded one credit hour for participation.
Providing you with an overview of the program, a basic understanding of scholarly writing and an opportunity to meet faculty members, the proseminar will help you
- Select the faculty members who will serve as your advisers and committee members
- Learn more about the courses and areas of study that interest you most
- Connect with faculty members you otherwise may only encounter in an online setting
- Provide you with an overview of the American Psychological Association Publication Manual (6th ed.) used for scholarly writing
